MDE-LIO has been asked to post this announcement:

Michigan Parents of Children with Visual Impairments (MPVI) invites parents and children to attend the Annual MPVI Fall Membership Retreat September 23–25 in Dearborn. This year’s theme, “Leading on the Path of Success,” will include a variety of hands-on learning opportunities and activities for parents and kids of all ages. As part of the festivities, MDE-LIO staff members will lead two breakout sessions for students:

  • Helping Youth Build Work Skills for Job Success (for students ages 13-21)
  • Independent Living Skill Building (for students ages 5-12)

LIO staff members will also assist with tactile tours at the Henry Ford Museum and Greenfield Village during the retreat.
